Question by Salou_87: How do I get the VGA monitor to be a mirror display of the MacBook screen rather than in extended mode?
Although my MacBook is working OK, the screen is not and when I attach a VGA monitor it appears to default to being in extended mode.

Go to System Preferences > Displays, click on External and then check the mirror displays window
